Having just been on tour in Washington State & British Columbia visiting sea kayak shops & outfitters we have decided to bring in some fast sea kayaks & racing kayaks also called fitness kayaks. These kayaks are lightweight, which doesnt mean flimsy it just means they weigh 18kgs or less, they are stable and they are fast. They all have rudders not skegs so they are very easy to steer without using arm strength. They are excellent for racing but also for people who just want to go for an evening blast. We have Kayakpro Marlin , Nemo (as used by the Blue peter presenter Helen Skelton for her awesome record breaking 2000km trip down the Amazon) & Namu to demo & for sale at Sea Kayak Oban
We will also be bringing even more stable but inevitably less fast but very light cruising kayaks for those that like the idea of a light composite kayak but also the extra stability. (try the Namu)
