Avataq 2.0 (IMG_1326.jpg, IMG_1327.jpg) is a step up from the standard paddle float in that it offers a greater range of use. It may be used as a paddle float for self-rescue with both Euro and Greenland style paddles. The webbing buckle straps (IMG_1328.jpg, IMG_1329.jpg) allows for both style of paddles to be securely held in place.

This float may also be used to develop skills such as the balance brace and forward finish and rear finish rolling. For balance brace and butterfly roll practice, the float may be used on the end of a paddle or held in one hand of the paddler.

For rolling skills, the float may be held in both hands with the thumbs placed under the webbing strap and the fingers wrapped around the ends. With the float held in this manner, the paddler may practice standard rolls, side pry and forward sweep. With practice a back-deck-roll may also be performed. Practice is required to develop the proper skills and techniques and professional instruction is recommended. Never practice alone.
