Kokatat Slipstream Waist Towline
The Kokatat Slipstream Waist Towline is light and compact whilst still holding 15 meters of rope. Made with high tenacity ripstop, the Slipstream features sewn-in foam panels for floatation and reflective accents for night-time visibility. The quick access Nylon karabiner can be stowed away safely using the hook and loop pocket or clipped onto one of the D-rings located on either side of the pouch. The Slipstream has a large pouch with an internal divider for easy repacking.
There are two stages of deployment allowing the user to chose the length of rope they require making the repacking process easier taking away the need for a daisy chain technique. If a longer tow is needed the second stage just requires a quick release tab to be pulled and the pouch to be opened.

What do SKO think?
We are quite excited to try this new compact towline. Most towlines are too bulky for the smaller paddler, this Kokatat offering is definitely very slimline and may prove to be stiff competition for the Whetman Cornish pastie. The rope itself is of a narrower gauge than we commonly see in the UK and we will be interested to test it to its maximum.
