As with all security locks they are cannot be fully theft proof! If some one has the right cutting equipment they could cut the lock off or cut the kayak! They are however excellent deterrents and ours is fool proof. Leaving your Kayak on the car at accommodation overnight or in the service station on the Motorway.
Our KY-LOK is weatherproofed simple to attach, the Padlock is Marine Grade and comes with a cut proof cable.
