National Kayak School has new sea kayaking holidays on the idyllic Hebridean Islands of Colonsay & Coll to join its already successful sea kayaking island tours on Gigha & Mull. The two new tours Sea Kayaking on two of Scotlands lesser known islands are proving very popular especially for their bountiful wildlife. The singing Atlantic seals and very close up and personal Basking sharks have been greatly received by the clients.

This week we have succumbed to demand and are now stocking Werner’s Carbon Cranks Sea Kayaking Paddles at the very top of the range. But we are not abandoning any of the other brands.

There have been many excellent days on the water in the last month and with the sharp rise in temperatures its getting even better. We have run many very successful Sea Kayaking Introductory courses and there is still space on the various courses programmed over the Easter period including our new 1 or 2 day Sea Kayaking Safety Course and the 1 day white water kayaking in inflateables on the river Awe.

We are closed for a few weeks while we head off to Belize for a white water kayaking trip for 5 days then 9 days sea kayaking and snorkelling and surf kayaking on the barrier reef.
The River was superb see photo below. A great place to be at this time of year when sea kayaking conditions in scotland arent ideal.

With easterly winds the west is very calm and very sunny. Little snow has fallen in the Oban area. We have been busy exploring Seil Island before we go into work. Here’s a few photos.
